How to Use Mobile Ticket Scanner

Updated on

Operation

1. Charge the equipment. Be sure to charge the equipment starting the day before your event up until it’s time scan tickets. This will insure that both the iPod battery and the Sled battery that the iPod is housed in are fully charged. After the device has been charged it will automatically boot up into the ticket scanning application.

Sleds charge the iPods so the battery on the iPod may at 100% but the Sled’s battery might be dead or low which will effect scanning capabilities.

2. Enter login information. The username is printed on the back of each individual device underneath the asset tag. The password will always be the same for every device: Mncppc123$

3. Scan tickets. Upon logging in, you'll be taken to the Visit Processing screen and can scan tickets using the gray button on the side of the device. AutoComplete Transaction should always be checked.

4. Read ticket scanning messages. Once a ticket is scanned, a new page will load telling the user what the status of the ticket is. Understand these messages and act accordingly either permitting access to a patron or denying access to the event. See below for all examples of ticket scanning messages:
