Updated on

Here are the basic steps that customer would take when making a payment at your facility.

The most important thing is to make sure that your credit card terminal says Welcome on the display. This is how we ensure that the device has properly connected to PARKS DIRECT.

Once you have chosen Credit Card as your Payment Code, the customer will be prompted with a series of options and request in order to process their transaction. The first being acknowledging and accepting the amount of the charge.

Once they've accepted the amount by hitting the green button on either the screen or the green physical button they will be prompted to insert or swipe their card.

If the customer is using a chip card they must insert the card into the bottom slot of the credit card terminal, chip side first.

After the card has been inserted or swiped the credit card terminal will begin to process the payment.

If the customer is using a chip card they will be prompted to remove the card.

At this point, the credit card terminal will let the client know if the transaction has been approved or declined. If approved the customer will be prompted for a signature.

Once the client signs they can either tap the green button on the screen or press the green physical on the number pad.

If the client presses the green button without signing on the screen then, the receipt will be print with a blank signature line and the client will have to sign the receipt.

Signatures can only be applied using the pen attached to the credit card terminal (not pictured). If the pen on your terminal is damaged please reach out to the Help Desk at 301-699-2255 or you can send an email to [email protected] to submit a request for a replacement pen.
