To sell a membership in installments, the membership must have "Auto Bill" in its Short Description. That's to say, PARKS DIRECT will automatically bill customers when their membership's next installment is due. Memberships with installment plans include but are not limited to:
- SAARC's Silver Fitness Pass
- SAARC's Gold Combo Pass
- SAARC's Adult Couple Pass
- SAARC's Family Combo Pass
Choose the customer's membership
1. Sign in to PARKS DIRECT and bring up the customer's household in Global Sales.
2. Select the Standard Pass tab on the Global Sale frame.
3. Type Auto Bill into the Short Description filter and press Enter on your keyboard.
4. Highlight the "Auto Bill" membership pass the customer is purchasing from the DataGrid.
5. Choose the customer that the membership is for on the Family Member Selection frame.
6. Select Add to Cart on the Shopping Cart frame. Then PARKS DIRECT will open a purchase prompt for selecting the customer's payment method.
Link the customer's credit card to the membership
7. Select Add/Change Credit Card Information on the prompt. Then PARKS DIRECT will open the EPay Info Management prompt.
8. Credit cards on file will appear on the prompt's DataGrid. Ask the customer whether they'd like to use the card on file or add a new payment method.
- To use a payment method on file, highlight the card on the DataGrid and use the Select button on the bottom-left corner of the prompt.
- To use a payment method not on file, select Add Credit Card, and customers will need to follow the prompt on the credit card terminal.
To add a customer's card, your workstation needs to be connected to a credit card terminal since PARKS DIRECT does not allow manual credit card entry.
When you add a new card, PARKS DIRECT will charge the credit card $1 to verify it. However, customers will receive their money back after you successfully add their card.
Calculate the price of the membership's initial installment
9. Enter the customer's initial installment price in the box under Amount on the payment prompt's Fees frame.
To calculate a customer's initial installment, multiply the remaining days of the month, including today, by the membership's price per day, listed on the table below.
(Membership's Initial Installment = Membership's Price Per Day x Days Remaining In The Month)
For example, a customer purchases SPLEX's Fitness Pass - Automatic Bill Adult ($0.60 per day price) on April 9. They're signing up with 22 days remaining in the month (including April 9), so their initial installment is $13.20 = $0.60 x 22.
For another example, a customer purchases SPLEX's Fitness Pass - Automatic Bill Adult ($0.60 per day price) on April 28. They're signing up with three days remaining in the month (including the day they're registering), so their initial installment is $1.80 = $0.60 x 3.
10. Select Continue after entering the price of the membership's initial installment.
After selecting the payment card, you will see its last four digits under the Selected Payment Method field.
11. Select Payment to continue to the checkout screen where you can finish processing the membership.
Initial installments for "Auto Bill" memberships are due at the time of purchase, and PARKS DIRECT will electronically charge customer's credit card when later installments come due.
