How to request new activities and view activity descriptions

Updated on

Don't see an existing activity in PARKS DIRECT that meets your program planning needs?

You can request new activities by using the PROGRAM REQUEST FORM. Public Affairs will assist you in crafting a description that includes benefits-based language.

View an existing activity's description

1. Log in to PARKS DIRECT and on the sidebar menu select Management > Activity Management > Activity Management.

Instead of following the rest of the steps below, you can run the Brochure Generator Report to view the existing activity descriptions, also known as brochure code comments, and copy and paste as needed.

2. Highlight an existing activity on the datagrid, then select Section Management.

3. Highlight any section on the Activity Section Management datagrid, then select Change on the bottom left of the screen.

When you’re searching the Activity Management datagrid, use the filters on the top of each column to narrow the results. For example, enter the activity code in the box under Activity Code then select Enter on your keyboard.

4. Select the section’s Comments tab on the top of the screen. Then move your cursor over the box under Brochure Code. PARKS DIRECT will display the activity's description in a pop-up to the right of the Brochure Code.
