EAM System Overview

Updated on

EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) formerly owned by INFOR, is our asset management solution and digitalizes our maintenance operations. It’s currently used by many customers within the world. The current vendor for EAM is Hexagon.

The Prince George’s Department of Parks and Recreation implemented the use of EAM to replace Active Network’s Active Customer Response (ACR) system which was a great work citizen request system. However, M-NCPPC needed the ability to track our assets and enter maintenance information regarding them.

M-NCPPC is currently on Version 12.0 as of 11/19/2022

This system is used by amongst the following M-NCPPC Departments:

  • Centralized Administrative Services
  • Montgomery County Department of Parks
  • Montgomery County Planning
  • Prince George’s County Planning Department

and

  • Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation

EAM is another “Software as a Service” (SaaS) that M-NCPPC uses. The data is stored on Hexagon’s cloud servers to better maintain, backup and upgrade our instance of EAM.

EAM gives users the ability to:

  • Track / Update assets, structures, and properties
  • Create Work Requests/Work Order
  • Create Routine/Preventative Maintenance Schedules
  • Develop Notifications
  • Reporting on Assets/ Work
  • Integrate with other systems such as:
    • Active Directory / Single Sign-on
    • Citizen Requests
    • Employee Information
    • Utility Information
    • External Dashboard Systems (Power BI)

EAM is accessible on your computer’s Desktop (See Screenshot)
