Pin Pad in Use Error

Symptoms:

When attempting to process a credit card transaction in PARKS DIRECT, you receive an error that says the Pin Pad is already in use.

Cause:

You have another Session open on your workstation. This prevents the credit card terminal from running transactions, because it is connected to your previous session. You need to end those existing sessions before continuing.

How to Fix:

1. Logout and End Session in PARKS DIRECT - do not end your batch.
2. Log back into PARKS DIRECT.

3. After typing in your name and password you will probably see the Resume Old Session or Start New Session screen, with an existing Session date and time.
4. Select the existing Session and click Continue. Once you log in, log out and End this session as well.
5. Repeat until you no longer have any existing Sessions.
6. Log in to PARKS DIRECT and start a new session.

7. If this solution did not work, restart VIC and attempt to log in again. If that doesn't work please contact the Help Desk for additional technical support.
