You can quickly see your Cashier Over/Shorts (GL Code 4802) net postings with Lawson, which conveniently monitors this Over/Short account over months or the fiscal year, helping you remain within audit standards.
1. To check on your 4802 Over/Short postings, go to Lawson and enter GL94 in the search box on the upper right of the screen. Then select Go to the right of the search box.
2. Enter the following information into Lawson.
- Company: 100
- Accounting Unit: Your Accounting Unit (or the accounting unit you are reporting on)
- Major Account: 4802 - 4802
- Year: The fiscal year you want to view.
- Period: The month(s) you want to view. July is the first month (period 1) of the fiscal year. A table with fiscal year periods is at the bottom of this page.
3. Select Account on the bottom left to see the postings for overages and shortages.
4. Select Detail.
5. Select Expenditures to view individual daily amounts.
