How to move a section's roster into another

A section’s roster contains everyone who signed up for the section. When moving a roster, you can choose to keep or delete the roster that you’re moving by cloning or transferring.

Locate the sections you’re moving the roster from and into

Sign in to PARKS DIRECT and select Management > Activity Management > Activity Section Management from the sidebar menu.

Highlight the section your moving the roster from. Then select More > Roster Clone/Transfer at the bottom of the screen. PARKS DIRECT will open the Roster Clone/Transfer screen.

Before selecting the More button, copy the activity and section codes of the section you’re moving the roster into.

To narrow a DataGrid's list, use the filters, such as Short Description, by typing into it then pressing Enter on your keyboard.

Transfer or clone the roster

Enter the section you’re moving the roster into in the To Section box. In other words, the section receiving registrants from another section goes into the To Section box.

Enter the section's activity code followed by an underscore then the section code. For example, 22619_408A.

Use the To Section picklist to search for the section.

Choose Transfer or Clone from the Process Option dropdown.  

Transferring will add the roster to the section in the To Section box and remove the roster from the section it came from. In the end, registrants will only be in one section (the section in the From Section box).

Cloning will add the roster to the section in the To Section box and leave the roster in the section it came from. In the end, registrants will be in both sections (the sections in the From Section and To Section boxes).

Select the Use Fees On "To" Section option In the Fee Option box.

Using the "To" section's fee allows PARKS DIRECT to calculate the price difference between the "From" and "To" sections.

Check the checkboxes next to the options you’d like to use. For example, check the Email Receipt checkbox to have PARKS DIRECT email registrants who you’re transferring into another section. Move your cursor over the information icon to see what each option does.

Next, select Display Rosters, and PARKS DIRECT will populate the Roster Records DataGrid with registrants who signed up for the section in the From Section box.

Highlight the registrant(s), who are in the from section's roster, on Roster Records DataGrid that you want to transfer or clone to the other section.

Next, select Process on the bottom left of the Roster Clone/Transfer screen then Yes on the prompt. PARKS DIRECT will automatically refund or charge registrants depending on the sections pricings.
