Updated for 2023-2024 school year
The scheduled payment plan for Kids Care programs breaks down its total cost into 10 installments, with the additional $25 registration fee due at the time of registration (which begins June 21, 2023).
The first installment will be due on August 1 for all Kids Care programs registered before August 1. The following installments are due during school year months, from September May; the balances will appear on the first of each month and are considered late after the tenth.
The total cost of the Kids Care program is distributed approximately among the 180 service days of the school year. Since there are 10 scheduled installment payments, each payment covers roughly 18 days worth of service. These are fixed amounts, so scheduled monthly payments do not change for months with fewer school days (like December).
For example, if Kids Care costs $2,325.00 ($2,300.00 for the care program and $25 for the registration fee), its installments will be due (see the table below) as follows:
A note on proration: Because the payments become due before the service dates, customers who register after the start of the school year will need to “catch up” on payments to get back to the regular payments schedule and service dates.

For example: Let’s say a customer registers for Kids Care on September 23.
Their service dates start on September 23, but their payment, which covers those service dates, was the September 1 payment (9/22-10/19). So, they’ll be responsible for immediately paying 17 out of 18 classes covered by the September payment. That works out to $217.22 (17/18 * $230.00), plus the $25.00 registration fee, for a total of $242.22 that’s due on September 23.
Then, right after their September payment, their October payment of $230.00 will appear on their account as a balance on October 1 but isn’t considered late until October 10.
After you finish the registration, the balance due in Parks Direct will look like this:
